God has called Fishhook to India to care for the destitute, to provide education, training and mentoring, and to help followers of Jesus to be vessels of His love. We seek to be Jesus led and community oriented.
Finding Hope
We provide safe places for those made destitute by exploitation, family rejection, economic status, or love for Jesus. They are loved, encouraged, trained and allowed to follow God's call for their lives. These homes include the Phoebe Home, Living Hope Children's Home, Amy Carmichael Home and Sahayam Home.
Growing Wise
Men, Women and Children are fulfilling the potential that God has placed in them through academic, vocational, and theological training. They are learning to provide for themselves as well as share the hope and love of Jesus. Training happens in many formats including Living Hope Theological College, mentoring and discipling business leaders, Christian Worker conferences, and Harvest Bible School for Girls.
Sharing Love
Evangelists, Pastors, and Bible Women travel on foot, bicycle, or bus to share the Good News of Jesus with those who have never heard. Many of those cared for in the homes for destitutes are called by the Lord to be trained and sent out. They are able to tell their stories in their own cultural context.
