Our Work
Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." The work of Fishhook International is based on this Jesus led, community oriented, multiplying model. Our desire for followers of Jesus in India and the West is a deeper life that engages the destitute as well as the influential. All our ministries follow this pattern of connecting, training and reproducing.
Care for the Destitute
We provide safe places for the less fortunate made destitute by exploitation, family situations, economic status, or love for Jesus. They are loved, encouraged, trained and allowed to follow God's call for their lives. These homes include the Phoebe Home, Living Hope Children's Home, Amy Carmichael Home and Sahayam Home.
Leadership Training
The intent of this training is to prepare Christ's followers in India to share the hope and love of Jesus. Many of those cared for in the homes for destitutes are called by the Lord to be trained and sent out. Training happens in many formats including Living Hope Theological College, Mentoring and discipling business leaders through CBMC, Christian Worker conferences and seminars, Harvest Bible School for Girls, and conferences for indigenous Evangelists and Bible women.
