The Jaya Nursing Institute educates young women and men to address the health problems people in India may have because of little or no access to medical care.  Enrollment is aimed at students who would otherwise be denied an education due to poverty or societal barriers.

At the end of the 2-year program they earn a government certificate and begin their work in rural villages.

The school opened in July 2010 with only 30 students and within a year enrollment doubled!  The first class graduated in April 2012, and now several classes of graduates are serving the poor throughout south India.
