“Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!  Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”  And God granted his request. (1 Chron 4:10-11)  Let us pray the prayer of Jabez.

God’s Enhancement - Bless Me

The enhancement of God enriches our spirit.  The blessings of the Lord not only enrich me but will enrich others through me.

God’s Enlargement - Enlarge My Territory

Our inner desire is to be inside a nest or a smaller circle.  May the Lord take us to a larger sphere in our prayers, giving and witnessing.  William Carey’s motto was “Attempt great things for God. Expect great things from God.”

God’s Enabling - Your Hand Be With Me

When we have increased responsibilities and demands, we become helpless and we need the power of God.  His hand alone can provide that kind of power.  About John the Baptist we read, “The hand of the Lord was with him.” (Lu 1:66)

God’s Environment - Keep Me From Harm and Pain

When we live for God, we are bound to face the attacks of the evil one and enemies within and without.  When we pray for God to protect and to keep us safe from pain, He does grant our requests.

Father, thanks for granting my requests. Amen

Praises and Prayer Needs

• Praise the Lord for our six girls and one boy writing their +2 (school finals) exams well.
• Praise God for the wonderful seminar we had for the Bible college teachers.
• Pray for my preaching at St. John’s English Church, Trichy next Sunday.
• Pray for we want to install steam cooking equipment in our kitchen which will be more efficient and economic. The cost of this will be about Rs. 200,000 (US $4,500)  At our Living Hope food is prepared for 400 people every day.
