Widow Care

There are multitudes of widows in India who have no one to care for them.

In the areas where Christ Community Ministries work, there are thousands of widows who have no one to care for them. In India there are no government programs to assist those who are destitute. Custom and tradition prevents widows from remarrying even if they are widowed at a young age.  For the elderly who are homeless, CCM helps those they can rescue at The Sahayam Home. For other needy widows, CCM works to provide food and clothing for them as often as funds are available.  The goal of CCM is to assist at least 1,000 widows each year.

This ministry to widows lets them know there is a God who loves them and that His people have not forgotten them. As you give to help these widows who cannot help themselves, may you be encouraged by Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:40:

“The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'“
