Family Ministries
Ghuna ministers to families through a weekly television show, family seminars, and counseling.
Everyone who has had the privilege of getting acquainted with Ghuna Kumar of Gospel Friends knows that Ghuna is not only gifted as an evangelist, but he also has a heart for families. So even when he comes to visit the United States and other countries, he spends his time not only preaching to large and small groups; but additionally, his schedule includes counseling sessions with couples and families. His forthright manner of sharing God’s Word as it relates to the family combined with his genuine care and concern for individuals give him the status of a respected father to many.
Weekly Television Show
In India, Ghuna’s ministry to families includes a weekly television show in which he applies the Word of God to issues affecting families and family relationships. This program has been helpful to countless families over the years. And many people have prayed to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord as a result of the TV show. Each week many call the phone number on the screen to request additional help, prayer and counseling. The Lord called Ghuna’s wife, Jaya, to be a part of this ministry by taking the calls that come in response to the television program. Several years ago the number of calls increased to the point where Jaya felt led to resign her position in a bank in order to give herself fulltime to the telephone ministry to families.
Seminars and Counseling
In addition to the television show, Ghuna conducts family seminars and counseling as the needs arise. Also, many of the children who have grown up in the Gospel Friends Children’s Homes look to Ghuna as their father for counseling and advice after they are married.

The demands of ministry to families on top of his work as an evangelist and as Director of Gospel Friends make for a very hectic and challenging schedule for Ghuna Kumar. Yet the Lord continues to provide health and strength to this wholehearted servant of the Gospel.
