Children's Homes
Gospel Friends cares for about 175 orphans and destitute children in the Living Hope Children’s Home.

Some of these children are true orphans whose parents are deceased; others have parents who are unable or unwilling to care for them. The children live in clean, adequate housing where they receive nutritious food, clothing made by Gospel Friends seamstresses in training, and an education at least through their high school years. Their lives are disciplined and orderly as they study, learn responsibility, attend worship throughout the week and pray together three times per day. When they are old enough to be on their own, they leave with hearts ready and minds fully equipped to serve the Lord wherever He calls them.
Visitors to these children’s homes attest to the incredible joy that shows in the countenances of these beautiful children. Their shining eyes and smiling faces are evidence of lives surrounded by the love of Jesus and the care of His people. When their blessings are contrasted with what their fate would be had they been left to fend for themselves on the streets, it is an amazing picture of how Jesus “has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves”. (Colossians 1:13)
You can have the privilege of sponsoring one of these children for only $35 per month. For this small amount that most of us casually spend for a magazine subscription or to take our family of four to the movies (before the popcorn and soda), you can feed, clothe and educate a child in a Gospel Friend children’s home for one month. This is a wonderful opportunity not only to support a child who is orphaned or destitute, but it is also a chance to get to know them and pray for them in specific ways. If the Lord is leading you to become connected with a child in India for the sake of the Gospel, get started now by clicking on the yellow Donate button on this page..
UPDATES FROM THE FIELD
by Kim Turkington on January 24th
The good news is that food prices in India aren’t going up as fast as they were a few weeks ago.
The bad news is prices of vegetables have skyrocketed in the past year, putting pressure on those living on the edge of survival and on those working to help them - including Fishhook’s ministry partners.
Even though news reports say food inflation is easing because the published weekly rate fell from over 18% to 15.5 $, the reality is that prices of many basic foods are dramatically higher then they were just a few months ago. More »

- Thank God for all the prayers that went up on last Friday night in two big groups. Our people at Mount Zion prayed through out the night for even those of you who receive the Sunday Scripture weekly email and all our supporters and friends.
- Thank God for His provisions this month.
- Please pray for Kumar, one of our area leaders, who met with accident and lying in hospital. More »
