Accountability
We maintain a high level of accountability to our partners, the government and our constituents. Please contact us if you need more information.
501(c)(3)
Fishhook International is a legally recognized nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We file Form 990 with the IRS each year. In order to be transparent to our constituents, it is our policy to make our Form 990 readily available. Click here to view our most recent Form 990.
100% Guarantee
The Fishhook International board has determined to send 100% of all contributions given for work in India directly to that cause without deducting any administrative fees. We also do not accept donations or payments from our Indian ministry partners for administrative or fundraising expenses.
Standards
To ensure our financial accountability, we are a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). ECFA standards cover the areas of Doctrinal Statement, Board of Directors and Financial Oversight, Financial Statements, Use of Resources, Financial Disclosure, Conflicts of Interest, and Fund-Raising. View the full description of ECFA’s Standards. View Fishhook’s ECFA status.
One ECFA requirement is an annual audit performed by a public accounting firm that is reviewed by the board of directors. Any necessary corrective actions are ensured by the board’s Audit Committee.
Our Partners
Our partners in India sent us their annual audit each year. Our board members also visit them several times each year to encourage them in their work and bring personal updates back to their suporters in the United States.
